cue the christmas music because the holidays are quickly approaching! this year is especially exciting in our household because it’s our baby’s first christmas! i spent more of her nap times than i care to admit reading reviews and comparing toys to add to her wish list. i found so many goodies, so i decided to share my first gift guide!
disclaimer: this post contains affiliate links. this means i make a small commission if you decide to purchase a product through my link. this does not affect your purchase cost in any way, but it helps me keep this blog running! i only share products and brands that i use, love, and/or trust. in this gift guide in particular, i am only sharing items that i currently own or are on our actual wish list.
it was important to me to include gifts that baby will grow into. i’m not the type who wants to spend money on a toy that will only be relevant for a few months. each toy i have listed is also rated 4 stars or higher on amazon (at the time of posting) and some are best sellers! each one is also prime eligible (hello, free shipping!) and most of them are under $25!
baby’s stocking is the perfect excuse to stock up on some of those little things you can never have enough of, like pacifiers, socks, teethers, bibs, bows and her first sippy cup! some cute keepsakes like a security blanket commemorating baby’s first christmas and her own photo book are good ideas too.
sensory toys are important for baby as they encourage learning through play by stimulating her senses. each of these toys will help her refine both her tactile and fine motor skills, while improving her cognitive abilities through teaching letters, numbers, colors, shapes and more. some of these toys also provide auditory stimulation.
these developmental toys encourage baby to reach that next milestone: to sit up, to crawl, to stand and to walk! i’ve also included some tummy time products since that is essential for baby to hit these milestones.
baby isn’t going to know what’s going on during her first christmas, so it’s the perfect time to sneak some gifts for mom in there! these are non-toy gifts that can be used every day.
we all know how important it is to encourage reading from the very beginning of baby’s life. i have included some christmas books and others that teach things like letters, numbers, and shapes.
i hope you were able to add some ideas to your wish list for that special baby in your life, whether she is your own or in your extended family. don’t forget to pin these gift guides for reference while you’re shopping!
what’s on your christmas wish list (for yourself or your kids)!?
