rustic wooden advent calendar // hazel and gold designs

this is one of the most unique advent calendars i have come across. place one ornament on each numbered hook for the 25 days until christmas. every day, take a few minutes to reflect on the story behind the ornament before placing it on the tree. it can be made in under 30 minutes and sheri even includes instructional video!

rustic winter centerpiece // aileen cooks

i would have to say that this one winter centerpiece by aileen is my favorite. it is the perfect little decoration to add to your mantel that definitely looks store bought!

pallet christmas tree // the country chic cottage

angie uses a pallet christmas tree, which you can buy premade or learn how to make one with the link she includes for a complete diy. she uses a really cute plaid flannel and burlap for the decorations! you can customize your tree to your taste with the fabric of your choosing.

stenciled tea towels //a proverbs 31 wife

this is perfect idea for a hostess gift! it is a quick project, only taking kendra about 10 minutes to complete. it is super simple too, using a sponge, stencils and some tape.

custom painted christmas tree collar // the red painted cottage

this is a fun twist to the traditional tree skirt! i love this one because you don’t need a cricut machine! carol uses her favorite photo editing software (like picmonkey) to create her print. she uses transfer craft paper to trace it onto the galvanized collar, then paints it.

stocking ladder // gluesticks

this one perfect for those who don’t have a mantel or staircase to hang stockings on. as an added bonus, it doubles as a place to display quilts the rest of the year! brandy includes the tutorial on how to make your own ladder for under $15!

christmas tree serving tray // hazel and gold designs

this one would also make a good hostess gift as it is pretty and functional! this one is a little bit more involved, as it uses some power tools. sheri uses a lightweight wood, which i think is perfect for a serving tray!

which one is your favorite? do you diy any of your holiday decor? let me know in the comments! feel free to link your posts so i can check them out!
